Attorney Peter Hsieh of Honolulu; ethical misfit

The state of Hawaii presented Peter C. Hsieh with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of California at Davis Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Pete guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Withdrew funds from client trust account on 6 occasions before fees were earned
  • Took funds for 9 matters from client trust account when those clients didn’t have any funds in said trust account
  • Failed to reconcile subsidiary ledgers as required
  • Failed to balance client trust accounts on quarterly basis

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on Disciplinary Counsel punished Pete by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2014), Pete practices at 841 Bishop Street in Honolulu, Hawaii.
