Attorney Yvonne Nelson of Orlando; ethical goblin

The state of Florida provided Yvonne Marquette Nelson with a law license in 1998 after she graduated from Touro University Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Yvonne guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to appear for court scheduled case management conference
• Found in indirect civil contempt
• Improperly relied on client’s representations of material facts that were untrue
• Took no action to verify client’s false information after being put on notice by opposing counsel

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Yvonne by gifting her with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.  

As we speak (ca. September 2014) Yvonne practices in the Orlando, Florida area.
