Attorney Jason Phillabaum of The state of The Ohio Supreme Court Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline charged Jason with the following misconduct, which took place while he was an associate Jason is charged with altering two grand jury reports charging defendants with crimes for which the grand jury never heard evidence or voted. One of the matters involved a sex case wherein is accused of withholding an important handwritten statement of the alleged victim, in the case of Yuyang David Bai, who was charged with gross sexual imposition for inappropriately touching a female student. The female student’s statement to police indicated the two were consensually kissing before the touching incident occurred. Yet, the woman testified that she didn't remember what happened that night because she was too intoxicated. Subsequently, a jury convicted Bai of the felony and he was sentenced to one year in prison. The Court of Appeals tossed out the guilty verdict accusing Jason of prosecutorial misconduct for failing to disclose the handwritten statement, which contradicted testimony at trial. A trial court judge then dismissed the sex charge. All that’s left now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Jason by the Ohio Supreme Court. As we speak (ca.
