Attorney Thomas Byrnes of Los Angeles; ethical gremlin
The state of California provided Thomas Scott Byrnes with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of California Hastings Law School in San Francisco.
The California State Bar Court found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.
- Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
- Failed to pursue cases on behalf of clients
- Failed to maintain client funds in trust account
- Failed to communicate with clients
- Failed to pay client medical clients as required
- Misappropriated (stole) client funds
- Failed to inform client that he had failed to prosecute their claims
- Failed to provide client files to clients after being fired
- Failed to cooperate with bar investigators (Up Yours, said Tommy!)
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. September 2014) Tommy practices at 9100 Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills, California.
