Attorney Phillip Weinberg of Woodinville, WA; ethical gremlin

The state of Washington presented Phillip L. Weinberg with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

The Washington State Bar found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Failed to refund unearned fees (thief) in four client matters
  2. Failed to comply with client’s request for accounting of claimed fees
  3. Willfully disobeyed a court order (Up Yours, said Phil!)
  4. Failed to file notice of appearance on client’s behalf on appeal matter
  5. Failed to appear for court scheduled hearings on client’s behalf
  6. Failed to respond to repeated client inquiries
  7. Charged an unreasonable fee
  8. Pled guilty to third degree domestic violence and malicious mischief
  9. Failed to take steps to protect client’s interest upon being fired
  10. Failed to abide by the laws of the state of Washington

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington State Supreme Court punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (August 2014), Phil Phil practices with the Law Office of Phillip L. Weinberg at 14241 NE Woodinville Duvall Road in Woodinville, Washington.

Warning:  Phil does not carry legal malpractice insurance
