Attorney J. Murray Ziegler of Tempe; ethical misfit

The state of Arizona presented J. Murray Ziegler with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Murray guilty of the following misconduct,

In one matter, Murray was hired as the executive director for a nonprofit organization. In that capacity, he routinely identified himself as and exercised duties as general counsel for the organization.

Subsequently, Murray was fired as executive director and was informed that he had only been hired to fulfill that position and not as general counsel for the organization. Based on this information, Murray informed the opposing party in a dispute of numerous facts and legal arguments that could be used to his advantage. Murray knowingly violated the confidences of the organization and revealed information relating to the representation of the organization without its informed consent.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Murray by gifting him with another complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. August 2014) Murray practices with the Ziegler Law Group PLC at 229 West la Vieve Lane in Tempe, Arizona.

Warning: Murray doesn’t carry legal malpractice insurance
