Attorney Ric Daniell of Columbus; ethical leprechaun

The state of Ohio presented Ric Daniell with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Toledo Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Ric guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to maintain client funds in client trust account
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Ric)
  • Wrote check on insufficient account (rubber)
  • Failed to maintain individual client ledges re: deposits and payments
  • Failed to maintain bank records as required
  • Failed to perform monthly reconciliations of client accounts
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Ric by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Ric.

As we speak (ca. August 2014), Ric practices at 1660 NW Professional Plaza in Columbus, Ohio.
