Attorney William Bilcheck Jr. of Madison, CT; ethical gremlin

The state of Connecticut provided William Bilcheck Jr. with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from St. John’s University Law School.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

In one matter, Billy found it acceptable to threaten a prior client if he didn’t pay him a fee awarded by a trial court. In addition, Billy attempted to obtain funds from an indigent defendant charged with embezzlement of said funds as payment for his fees.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2014) Billy practices at 12 Brookside Road in Madison, Connecticut.
