Attorney Carla Pearson of Cedar Rapids; repeat offender

The state of Iowa presented Carla Garrels Pearson with a law license in 1989.

The Iowa Supreme Court Disciplinary Gerald found Carla guilty of the following misconduct.

Carla’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Carla!)

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Carla by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

Carla’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Made a misrepresentation (lied) to client
• Failed to advise client of status of legal matter

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Carla by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
