Attorney Roland Pham of Boston; moronic loser

The state of Massachusetts presented Roland A.H. Pham with a law license in 2003.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Roland guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (Moron)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

In one matter, Roland represented clients in their offer to purchase a home. At the time they paid Roland $1,000. They subsequently signed an agreement to purchase a home and made a $13,000 deposit.

The purchase and sale contained a mortgage contingency clause. If Roland’s clients were unable to obtain financing by September 17, 2009 and so notified the sellers, the sellers were obligated to return the deposit. However, as of September 16, the clients had not secured financing. The clients informed the sellers and requested an extension through September 24; however, the sellers didn’t agree.

On October 5, 2009, the clients received a proposed amended purchase and sale agreement from the sellers. That agreement provided that if the clients were unable to finance the purchase by October 21, 2009, the $13,000 deposit would be immediately released to the sellers.

Roland the Moron reviewed the amended agreement but failed to inform his clients that if they signed it and were unable to purchase the property, they would have no lawful right under the agreement to the return of their $13,000 deposit. Since they were unable to secure financing by October 21, 2009, the clients lost their $13,000 deposit.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Roland by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2014) Roland practices with the Pham Law Office at 1548 Dorchester Avenue in Boston, Massachusetts.

Warning: Roland does not carry legal malpractice insurance
