Attorney Robert O’Meara of Manchester, MA; lying loser

The state of Massachusetts presented Robert A. O’Meara with a law license in 1997.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct

Over the course of 14 years, Bobby accepted appointments from the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) to represent indigent criminal defendants on appeal. Bobby well knew that he was not permitted to accept CPCS appointments unless he had in effect professional liability insurance with minimum coverage amounts of $100,000/$300.000.

Over a two-year period of time, Bobby accepted CPCS appointments even though he knew he had not purchased liability insurance. Subsequently, Bobby filed with the Board of Bar Overseers an annual statement wherein he falsely claimed to have liability insurance.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary 2-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2014) Bobby practices at 816 Elm Street in Manchester, Massachusetts.
