Attorney Lawrence Slater of Gilbert, AZ; ethical misfit

The state of Arizona presented Lawrence B. Slater with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the Boston University Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Larry guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Larry’s wife worked as his bookkeeper. During this time, the wife diverted partnership funds into joint accounts she shared with Larry. In addition, she also destroyed receipt records in an effort to prevent detection of transfer of funds.

Although Larry wasn’t initially aware of his wife’s conduct, he took no action of any kind when he did discover what she was doing.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Larry by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. May 2014) Larry practices at 16444 East Pecos Road in Gilbert, Arizona.

Caution: Larry does not carry legal malpractice insurance
