Attorney Mikal Watts of San Antonio; ethical misfit

The state of Florida presented Mikal Watts with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Texas Law School.

In December 2013, Dick was arrested for traveling to an undisclosed location to have a “girlfriend experience” with an undercover agent who was posing as a prostitute.

If dead people (phantom) in Chicago can vote then why can’t phantom clients sue for damages?

In late 2013, BP Oil filed a lawsuit against Mikal accusing him of “brazen fraud” in his so-called representation of thousands of Gulf oil spill clients who turned out to be “phantoms.”

In its lawsuit, BP said Mikal claimed to represent more than 40,000 defendants, representing nearly 80 percent of the projected claimants in a seafood compensation fund. However, more than half of the Social Security numbers for the clients turn out to be fake or to have belonged to someone else, including dead people.

If dead people are allowed to vote in Chicago, then why can’t Mikal file a lawsuit against BP on behalf of dead and/or phantom clients? After all, isn’t Mikal statutorily entitled to earn a dishonest living practicing law in Florida?

All that remains now is to see how the BP lawsuit pans out. If BP wins, then we’ll have to wait an see what if any punishment the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court mete out to Mikal.

As we speak (ca. May 2014), Mikal practices with Watts Guerra LLP at 4 Dominion Drive in San Antonio, Texas.
