Attorney Abigail Askew of Bowie, MD; ethical misfit

The District of Columbia presented Abigail Askew with a law license in 2006.

The District of Columbia Court of Appeals found Abigail guilty of the following misconduct

  1. Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  2. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  3. Failed to explain matter necessary to allow client to make informed decisions re: representation
  4. Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  5. Failed to take necessary steps to protect client’s interests after being fired
  6. Knowingly disobeyed a court rule and/or order
  7. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the District of Columbia Court of Appeals punished Abigail by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2014), Abigail practices at 3806 Aynor Drive in Bowie, Maryland.
