Attorney Jorge Suarez of Coral Gables; ethical ogre

The state of Florida provided Jorge Luis Suarez with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Duquesne University Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Jorge guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

At the time of his misconduct, Jorge was employed by the David L. Stern law firm as an independent contractor.

Over the course of several years, Jorge began executing attorney fee affidavits for foreclosure cases at the David L. Stern law firm as an independent contractor.

An unknown number of affidavits processed by Jorge were not lawfully executed by him in the presence of a notary. On more than one occasion, Jorge improperly executed an expert affidavit without reviewing the pertinent file.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Jorge by gifting him with a complimentary 91-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2014) Jorge practices at 2735 SW 8^th Street in Coral Gables, Florida.
