Attorney Diane Walder of Playa Del Rey, CA; crook

The state of California provided Diane Walder with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from the University California Hastings Law School in San Francisco.

The California State Bar Court found Diane guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Diane pleaded guilty to theft of U.S. Property. While she was employed as an attorney Adviser to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Los Angeles, Walder received benefits from the Small Business Administration by claiming as her primary residence a Mississippi property that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. She and her husband owned the property.

Subsequently, Diane made restitution of $25,000 to the HUD, resigned her position with the government and agreed not to again seek employment with any federal agency or department.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California State Bar Court punished Diane by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 3-year suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the California State Bar Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Diane.

As we speak (ca. March 2014), Diane practices at 8601 Falmouth Avenue in Playa Del Rey, California.
