Attorney Philip Combs of Florence, KY; ethical misfit

The state of Kentucky presented Philip R. Combs with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from the University of Kentucky Law School.

The Kentucky Bar Association found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

Phil failed to make certain disclosures in the bankruptcy petition he pursued on behalf of Leona Case.

During the pendency of the bankruptcy case, Leona sold an asset for over $60,000, a fact well known to Phil. However, despite said knowledge, Phil never corrected the bankruptcy petition nor did he ever inform the bankruptcy trustee or the bankruptcy judge of the $60,000 asset.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on Kentucky Supreme Court the punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 30-day suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Phil.

As we speak (March 2014), Phil practices at 725 Brittany Trail in Florence, Kentucky.
