Attorney Laraine Pacheco of Tucson; arrogant thief

The state of New York presented Laraine B. Pacheco with a law license in 1993 after she graduated from Brooklyn Law School.

While working in New York City, Laraine received one of the best-paying appointments in the court system, which allowed her to refer asbestos litigation lawsuit on behalf of Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Sherry Klein Heitler

This government gig paid Larraine $368,000 a year; however, Larraine wasn’t satisfied with being paid such a paltry sum.

Subsequently, it was discovered that Larraine overbilled asbestos lawyers by at least $400,000. She was later relieved of her appointment by Justice Heitler.

After being caught bilking hundreds of lawyers and their clients, Laraine had the chutzpah to defend her conduct by saying:

  • “The dilemma I face is that if I do not follow up at all on those who have not paid and should pay, it is grossly unfair to those who pay promptly and without needing to be reminded.”
  • “I also do not believe that anyone should get my services for free. I put a high value on what I do.”

In truth, Arrogant Larraine put a “high value” on services she didn’t provide.

As we speak (ca. March 2014), Larraine practices at 2401 East Calle Sin Controversia in Tucson, Arizona.
