Attorney Wallace Washington of Mt. Pleasant, SC; cheater, repeat offender

The state of Georgia presented Wallace Washington with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the Georgia State University Law School.

The Georgia State Bar found Wally guilty of the following misconduct.

Wally’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Tree

In one matter, Wally found it acceptable to write a post-dated check on his client’s behalf on a personal checking account that he knew was closed (rubber).

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Wally by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Wally’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Tree

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Failed to promptly deliver funds owing to client
• Failed to take steps to avoid damage to client after being terminated
• Failed to return client property to client after termination
• Knowingly made a false statement of law or fact
• Failed to promptly notify client of receipt of client funds
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to render appropriate accounting to client
• Converted (stole) client trust funds for personal use

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Wally by ordering that his law license be revoked.

Unbelievably, several years later the comedians sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court voted to reinstate Wally’s law license. Apparently, they were of the opinion that Wally had a constitutional right to earn a dishonest living practicing law.

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Wally practices at 2377 Highway 17 North in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
