Attorney Tabitha Pruitt of Nixa, MO; ethical misfit

The state of Missouri presented Tabitha Sue Pruitt with a law license in 1999.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Tabatha guilty of the following misconduct.

1. Violated or attempted to violated disciplinary rules or assisted another to do so
2. Failed to keep client funds separated
3. Failed to promptly notify client of receipt of funds owed to client
4. Failed to abide by client decisions re: objectives of representation
5. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
6. Failed to communicate with client

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on Disciplinary Counsel punished Tabatha by gifting her with a complimentary stayed suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on Disciplinary Counsel didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Tabatha.
