Attorney Norman Underwood Jr. of Evanston, IL; ethical gremlin

The state of Illinois presented Norman Eugene Underwood Jr. with a law license in 1994. He also obtained a law license from Iowa in 1977.

The Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Norm guilty of the following misconduct.

Norm found it acceptable to engage in a check kiting scheme in order to pay personal and business expenses.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Norm by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in Illinois are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Brian was never criminally prosecuted for writing bad checks.

As we speak (ca. February 2014) Norm practices at 2560 Crawford Avenue in Evanston, Illinois.

Warning: Norm does not carry legal malpractice insurance
