Attorney Jarrett Gable of Chicago; convicted druggie

The state of Illinois presented Jarrett Ward Gable with a law license in 2000. He also obtained a law license from Iowa in 1977.

The Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Jarrett guilty of the following misconduct.

While attending a music festival in Peoria, Jarrett was criminally convicted of two counts of possession of psilocybin, a controlled substance that acts like a hallucinogen.

Jarrett was subsequently sentenced to a term of probation.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Jarrett by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Disciplinary Commission didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jarrett.

As we speak (ca. February 2014) Jarrett is employed with the Cook County Public Defender’s Office at 2601 South California Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
