Attorney Doris Nagel of Vernon Hills, IL; convicted shoplifter

The state of Illinois presented Doris K. Nagel with a law license in 1994. 

The Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Doris guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Doris pled guilty in state court to theft and was sentenced to one year of supervised probation. Doris shoplifted about $500 worth of merchandise from a department store.

Doris also pled guilty to endangering the life or health of a child and was placed on two years probation.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Doris by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of her law license.
