Attorney Erik Newton of Chicago; crook

The state of Illinois presented Erik Scott Newton with a law license in 2005. He also obtained a law license from Iowa in 1977.

The Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Erik guilty of the following misconduct.

During his previous employment by a large law firm, Erik found it acceptable to falsely bill approximately 207 hours of work to a client over a period of about five months.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Sheldon by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2014) Erik practices with Newton’s Law at 3123 West Howard Street in Chicago, Illinois.

Warning: Erik does not carry legal malpractice insurance
