Attorney Leanne Rutley of Vernon, BC; ethical misfit

The Law Society presented Leanne F. Rutley with a law license in 1990.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Bar Society found Leanne guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Improperly took action against prior client
• Improper use of power of attorney on two occasions

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Committee punished Leanne by gifting her with a complimentary $7,500 fine.

 As we speak (ca. February 2014) Leanne practices with Nixon Wenger LLP at 2706 30^th Avenue in Vernon, British Columbia.
