Attorney Philip Patterson of Ogden; ethical leprechaun

The state of Utah presented Philip C. Patterson with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the University of Utah Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Failed to communicate with client
  2. Failed to abide by client decisions
  3. Failed to withdraw when withdrawal was required
  4. Failed to provide written fee agreement to client
  5. Knowingly engaged in a conflict of interest
  6. Conduct caused injury to the public and the legal system

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Nathan by gifting him with a complimentary term of probation.

As we speak (ca. February 2014) Nathan practices at 2485 Grant Avenue in Ogden, Utah.
