Attorney John Olczak of Atlanta; ethical misfit

The state of Georgia presented John Stephen Olczak with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from Georgia State University Law School.

The Georgia State Bar found John guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Johnny was retained by a client to represent her as a co-executor of her husband’s estate.

Johnny’s legal work for the client expanded to include other financial and business matters and, after the client established a charitable foundation, he served as the foundation’s director.

Johnny failed to adequately document the time devoted to her matters or sufficiently communicate with her. Subsequently, the client fired Johnny and hired new counsel to assist her in obtaining information from Tommy, who was slow to deliver the information to the new lawyers.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished John by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2014), John practices at 311 Lakemorre Drive in Atlanta, Georgia.
