Judge Tracie Hunter of Cincinnati; thieving loser

The state of Ohio presented Tracy M. Hunter with a law license in 1993 after she graduated from the University of Cincinnati Law School.

In November 2010, Tracie duped the voters in the greater Cincinnati area into electing her as a Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge in the Juvenile Division.

On January 10, 2014, Judge Hunter was indicted by a Hamilton County (Cincinnati) grand jury on eight (8) felony counts and a day later with a ninth count, which are as follows:

Two counts of tampering with evidence/Two counts of forgery

Judge Hunter is accused of backdating judicial entries to reflect that they had been created and signed by her on a different date than they actually were. Courtroom software proved that Hunter backdated an entry that then prevented the prosecutor from filing a timely appeal. She did the same thing in another case.

Two counts of theft in office/One count misuse of county credit card

Hunter used county credit cards to pay legal filing fees in lawsuits that were filed against. She used the cards to pay Supreme Court filings fees of $1,000 to $7,500.

Two counts of having an unlawful interest in a public contract

These charges relate to Judge Hunter’s employment of her brother Steven Hunter in the Hamilton County Juvenile Court.

After the indictments were handed down, the Ohio Supreme Court immediately removed Hunter from the bench. However, the removal order allows Hunter to continue to receive her undeserved salary of $121,350, which means she is being paid $481 a day for every workday she remains at home. Who said crime doesn’t pay?

In another matter, the Ohio Supreme Court previously held Judge Hunter in contempt for barring reporters from the Cincinnati Enquirer from her courtroom after the paper published the names of six juveniles charged in 2012 with assaulting a man in the suburb of North College Hill.

Hunter’s Vague Claim of Bigotry

In a goodbye email to court staff, Tracie said in part:

  • “Many of you understood that Hamilton County Juvenile Court was not ready for its first African-American and Democratic Judge.”
  • “I have learned and understood that change is difficult for most people, especially after 1110 years.”

It cannot be disputed that Hamilton County is and has been a Republican stronghold for many, many years; however, Obama beat McCain by 7% in 2008 and beat Romney by 6.5% in 2012. Moreover, the alleged bigots in Hamilton County also voted for Hunter in 2010.

It is indeed a sad state of affairs when someone of Hunter’s ilk who is caught with her hand in the cookie jar, feels compelled to complain that it was a “racist cookie jar” that caused her downfall.

All that’s left now is to wait for the day when Judge Hunter enters into a plea deal with the County Prosecutor to lessen the time she should rightfully spend at the Ohio Reformatory for Women located in Mansfield, Ohio.
