Attorney Sandra Barrett of Charlotte, NC; ethical misfit

 
The state of North Carolina presented Sandra J. Barrett with a law license in 1983 after she graduated from Florida State University Law School.
 
The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Sandra guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to maintain separate bank account for deposit of client funds
  • Conduct resulted in misappropriation of client funds
As a consequence of her misconduct the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Sandra by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of her law license.
 
In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Sandra.
