Attorney Charles Pellicer of Saint Augustine, FL; ethical gremlin

The state of Florida presented Charles Edward Pellicer with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from South Texas Law College.

The Florida State Bar found Charles guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Improperly entered into a business transaction with a client
  • Failed to comply with rules regulating trust accounts
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to maintain minimum required trust account records
  • Failed to maintain separate ledgers for each client
In one matter, Charlie improperly obtained a $20,000 loan from Mary Ellen Fabal, an elderly blind woman he had previously represented. Charlie agreed to repay Ms. Fabal at $250 a month. However, after he missed at least six (6) payments, Ms. Fabal sent Charlie a letter and demanded payment in full for the $20,000 loan.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Charles by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2013) Charles practices at 28 Cordova Street in Saint Augustine, Florida.
