Attorney Scott Conwell of Crofton, MD; ethical gremlin
The state of Maryland presented Scott Alan Conwell with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of Maryland Law School. Scotty was also presented with a license to practice in Washington, D.C. in 2000.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Scott guilty of the following misconduct.
Scotty found it acceptable to file an affidavit containing inaccurate statements, that, with a modicum of due diligence, he should have known were inaccurate.
Making matters worse, upon learning of said inaccuracies, Scotty failed to file an amended affidavit.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Scott by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. December 2013), Scott practices with Conwell Law LLC at 2411 Crofton Lane in Crofton, Maryland.
