What is “Valet” Parking?

In 2003, I filed a complaint against several judges and lawyers for billing between $21 and $28 for valet parking in downtown Columbus, Ohio in 2000 and 2001, which was well in excess of the lawful amount allowed.

When questioned by the powers-to-be about this matter, I stated that there was something fishy about these parking expenses. I went on to say that the billing statements revealed that the same guy was parking these cars in Columbus and Dayton on the same dates, which would be physically impossible.

After making this comment, I was asked to further explain. I then said that each billing statement showed that some fellow named Mr. Valet was parking all of these cars.

I was then told that “Valet” was defined as a person employed to park cars. I immediately responded by saying, “No wonder it cost so much since they hired some guy from France.”

Of course I was being facetious in mocking the buffoons in attendance that had the audacity to bill the taxpayers of Ohio for such outrageous parking expenses. Obviously, their low-level intellects didn’t allow them to appreciate the humor,
