Today’s “Bigot” Award Winner
This isn’t the first Award presented to Doug. In the past, he has been the recipient of two (2) Awards in various categories, which can be viewed by going to the listed categories at the end of this article.
In the recent past (November 2013), Doug donned the industrial strength knee pads that the Oil Industry provided to him in introducing legislation that would make it quite easy for oil and gas companies to obtain permits to drill for oil shale on public lands.
The Ass-Kisser’s proposed legislation would impose a $5,000 fee on anyone who wished to file an official protest to an oil industries application to drill on public lands.
This assine fee of $5,000 would appear to fly in the face of the 1st Amendment right of Free Speech. Of course it goes without saying that the Ass-Kisser isn’t concerned about Free Speech when it comes to acting as one of the oil industries favorite whores.
It is estimated that 70% of oil shale deposits are on federally owned land. The Ass-Kisser’s legislation would require the federal government to issue 10 leases on federal lands in 1014 with much more to come.
