Tony Perkins: Today’s “Bullshit” Award Winner
This isn’t the first Award presented to Tony. In the past, he has been the recipient of t hirty-three awards and one opinion piece, all of which can be viewed by visiting the categories listed at the end of this article.
Tony is the president of the Family Research Comedy Council. During a recent appearance on the Fox & Friends Comedy Hour, Tony decided to solicit additional contributions by supporting a corporation’s right to deny birth control coverage to women they’ve employed.
Tony went on to tell comedian Brian Kilmeade of Fox & Friends:
Comedian Kilmeade and Tony then engaged in the following colloquy:
Kilmeade:
“Why do you think this administration wants this fight?”
Tony:
“I think this administration has a very narrow view of the First Amendment, that first freedom, the freedom of religion.”
No reasonably intelligent person would argue that a corporation has the First Amendment right to deny health care coverage involving birth control, etc. to women in their employ because the CEO is a right-wing ideologue who laughingly claims a religious right to discriminate against his employees.
Tony is well aware that his rant as set forth above is a total fabrication and is only aimed at the morons that actually tune into listen to what he and/or the comedians on Fox & Friends have to say.
Congrats Tony; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Bullshitters”; you are far too humble
