Attorney Benjamin Brown Jr. of Raleigh; ethical gremlin

The state of North Carolina presented Benjamin G. Brown, Jr. with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Wake Forest University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Benny guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to reconcile trust account quarterly as required
  2. Failed to maintain proper client ledgers
  3. Misconduct involved multiple violations
  4. Faield to disburse client funds as directed
  5. Commingled client funds with personal funds
  6. Failed to maintain necessary trust account records
  7. Allowed clients’ funds to be used w/o their knowledge to pay credit card company fees
  8. Used entrusted property for his own personal use
As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Benny by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2013) Benny practices at 127 West Hargett Street in Raleigh, North Carolina.
