Attorney Linda Brown of Laurel, MD; ethical misfit
The state of Maryland presented Linda Markey Brown with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Maryland Law School. Linda was presented with a license to practice in Washington, D.C. in 2012.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Linda guilty of the following misconduct.
Linda filed numerous pleadings and other filings with the Court, on which she signed her clients’ name that was purported to be under oath, but she failed to initial or otherwise inform the Court that the signatures were not her client’s actual signature but were in fact hers.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Linda by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. October 2013), Linda practices at 646 Main Street in Laurel, Maryland.
