Attorney Dan Perry of Orlando; Judge Roy Bean Wannabee

FYI: Judge Roy Bean was a saloon-keeper and Justice of the Peace in Val Verde County, Texas, who called himself “The Law West of the Pecos.” Roy was also affectionately referred to by some as a “Hanging Judge.”

The state of Florida presented Daniel W. Perry with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Wake Forest University Law School.

From 1991 to 1995, Danny sat as an Orange County Court Judge in Orlando. During his tenure on the bench, the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission (FJQC) found Danny guilty of the following misconduct.

In five instances, litigants appeared before Danny on charges of driving while their licenses were suspended, had been ordered not to drive, then had been arrested when they drove away from the courthouse.

The five individuals subsequently went back in front of Danny the same day. On tapes of the court proceedings, Danny could be heard sarcastically addressing them. Some pleaded guilty to contempt, then asked what it meant. The only one to plead not guilty was jailed for 26 days on $20,000 bail; an inordinately high for such a charge.

Danny knowingly did not take the proper legal step of allowing the people to attend court with a lawyer and present evidence before sentencing them. Put simply, Danny didn’t much give a damn about the legal precept of “due process.”

In another case, Danny Boy upbraided Army Sgt. Michal Facella for wearing his dress uniform to court to defend himself on a careless driving citations. Sgt. Facella said he wore the uniform to court because he had a recruiting function to attend afterwards.

Danny subsequently admitted that he was wrong to jail the five but denied being rude or intimidating. In other words, the Moron admitted that he violated their constitutional “due process” rights.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Mississippi Supreme Court punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2013), Danny practices at 4767 New Broad Street in Orlando, Florida.
