Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-SC) “Screwball” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-SC)
Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

Mick succeeded in duping the voters in the York and Lancaster County areas into electing him as a member of the U.S. Congress in November 2010.

Mick is another member of Congress that learned how to spew forth BS and/or tell outright lies while attending law school at the University of North Carolina.

In an ongoing effort to amuse the right wing conservatives and/or members of the Tea Party, Mickey decided to make some comments about the government shutdown.

During an interview with the comedy news outlet Newsmax, Mickey decided to comment on President Obama’s call to Speaker of the House John “The Bone” Boehner to reaffirm that he would not negotiate over budget issues until House Republicans passed a bill funding the government and increasing the debt ceiling.

Mickey then went on to say:

“I had a girlfriend call me in high school and tell me that she was giving me the silent treatment, that’s sort of what it sounded like.”

Mickey was attending Charlotte Catholic High School at the time he alleges that he had a girlfriend. If in fact Mickey actually had a girlfriend in High School, I’m sure she was a dead ringer for Phyllis Diller and/or Moms Mabley.

In keeping in step with his fellow Lunatics in the House like Rep. Michele Bachman and Louie “The Loon” Gohmert, Mickey has the chutzpah to blame Obama for the government shutdown. He laughingly claims that it’s Obama’s fault because he refuses to defund Obamacare to keep the government running. This only proves that Mickey’s legal training on obfuscating the truth has served him well.

Congrats Teddy; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Screwball”; you are far too humble.
