Attorney Nelson Diaz of Cherry Hill, NJ; ethical gremlin

 
The state of New Jersey presented Nelson Diaz with a law license in 1987 after graduating from St. Thomas University Law School.
 
The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Nelson guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Failed to supervise subordinate lawyer
  • Engaged in dishonest conduct
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to properly supervise non-lawyer employees
Nelson permitted attorneys he was supervising to sign hundreds of pre-signed certifications which were filed in bankruptcy Court even though the signatories on the certifications did not review them or attest to their accuracy.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Nelson by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
 
As we speak (ca. October 2013) Nelson practices with Milstead & Associates LLC at 220 Lake Drive East in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
