Attorney Seth Davenport of Montville, NJ; lying Dufus

The state of New Jersey presented Seth I. Davenport with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Seton Hall University Law School.

The Disciplinary Counsel of the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct found Beth guilty of the following misconduct.

For a period of nine (9) years, Beth was a Montville Township Municipal Court judge. Her misconduct took place while she was sitting on the bench.

In one matter, Beth found it acceptable to represent the township’s mayor, John Rosellini, while she was sitting on the municipal court.

The prohibited representation of Rosellini included a Trust and Estate matter involving Rosellini and his parents, the sale of real estate by and between Rosellini and several third parties, financing of property own by Rosellini, and lease negotiations between Rosellini and a limited liability company seeking to lease space in a property owned by Rosellini for use as a daycare facility.

In another matter, Beth executed a certification on behalf of the defendants in the matter of South Salem Street Associates vs. The Planning Board of Montville Township, Montville Township and John Rosellini filed in Morris County Superior Court, that falsely stated that Beth had “completely ceased” his “representation of John Rosellini” after being appointed to the Montville Township Municipal Court.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Beth by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2013), Beth practices with Davenport * Spiotti at 219 Changebridge Road in Montville, New Jersey.
