Attorney Charles Knight of Granby, CT; ethical misfit

The state of Connecticut provided Charles Robert Knight with a law license in 1988

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Bruce guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Charles represented the former boss of a woman, the plaintiff, who filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against her employer and her former boss.

During the course of pre-trial discovery, the woman was forced to produce her medical and psychological records. At the time of the litigation the woman was living with Michael Lanata who was involved in an acrimonious custody dispute with his former wife, Cheryl Lanata. Cheryl was represented by attorney Lisa Faccadio in the custody matter. Subsequently, Charles learned about the Lanatas’ custody dispute and the plaintiff’s relationship with Mr. Lanata.

Charles then wrote a letter to attorney Faccadio wherein he enclosed excerpts of notes from the plaintiff’s psychological records in which the psychologist discussed the plaintiff and her son. Of course Charles never disclosed to the plaintiff or her attorney t hat he intended on disclosing this confidential information to Ms. Faccadio. And he never obtained her consent to so act.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2013) Charles practices with the Knight Law Group at 26 Ice Pond Road in Granby, Connecticut.
