Attorney Russell Olds of Glendale, AZ; serial offender

The state of Arizona presented Russell S. Olds with a law license in 1970 after he graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found William guilty of the following misconduct.

Russell’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

In one matter, Russell wrongfully caused a lien in the form of a deed of trust and assignment of rents to be recorded against certain real property owned by a third party. When Russell was informed of his ignorant conduct by the owners of the property, he refused to remove the invalid lien from their property.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Russell by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

Russell repeatedly failed to comply with orders issued by the Arizona Court of Appeals to file an opening brief on behalf of a client in a criminal appeal matter. Subsequently, the Court of Appeals found Russell in contempt for failing to comply with the court’s order.

Russell also found it acceptable to knowingly make a false statement regarding the integrity of a judge.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished William by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.
