Attorney George Forbes of Cleveland; convicted loser

The state of Ohio presented George Lawrence Forbes with a law license in 1962 after he graduated from Cleveland State University Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found George guilty of the following misconduct.

George was convicted of four (4) charges of filing false financial statements and two (2) charges of accepting gifts of such a character as to influence the performance of his duties as a public official.

Subsequently, George was sentenced to a suspended 30 day jail sentence, one year of probation, order to pay $6,000 in restitution, fined $6,000, and ordered to perform 60 hours of community service.

George’s criminal conduct came about during the time he was employed by the Worker’s Compensation Bureau.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished George by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to George.

As we speak (ca. September 2013), George practices with Forbes, Fields & Associates at 614 Superior Avenue NW in Cleveland, Ohio.
