Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

As we speak (ca. September 2013), Barry is a member of the Georgia State Assembly. Barry is now hopeful that he can dupe the voters in Georgia into electing him to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Barry has determined that the path to electoral success is to cozy up to the right wing nutcases running amuck in the congressional district he would represent if victorious in Nov 2014.

In order to impress the uneducated voters in his congressional district, Barry is proud to announce that he received an endorsement from of conservative historian David Barton.

Screwy Barry had the chutzpah to praise Barton in a press release by saying, “There is no greater expert on the U.S. Constitution and the underpinnings of American government than David Barton.” Any credible historian would find that Barry’s comment doesn’t pass the involuntary laugh test.

In 2012, the History News Network pronounced that David Barton’s book, The Jefferson Lies: Exposing the Myths You’ve Always Believe About Thomas Jefferson, “the least credible history book in print.” Put simply, the History Network was saying Barton’s book was a “piece of crap.” Subsequently, Barton’s publisher, Thomas Nelson, recalled his so-called history book.

In addition to being a phony historian author, David Barton is also a die-in-the-wool Homophobe who has unjustly enriched himself by spewing forth venomous attacks against the gay community. In the past, Barton the Bigot asserted that God wouldn’t allow for the development of a successful vaccine to combat AIDS because God determined that contracting AIDS was punishment for being gay. Of course, Screwy Barry supports this type of unabashed bigotry.

Congrats Barry; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Screwballs”; you are far too humble.
