David Barton: Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

David Barton

Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

David is another right wing Screwball that has unjustly enriched himself by spewing forth an assortment of crap that is intended to be digested by his fellow Screwballs and/or those with an I.Q. just a tad north of the legal speed limit in a school zone.

David was recently hired by Glenn “The Lunatic” Beck to teach at his so-called online university as an alleged historian. David has no background in history. In fact, he received a B.A. in religious education from Oral Roberts University.

For Dave to claim he’s an expert historian is analogous to Sarah Palin claiming she’s qualified to teach Geography courses at the University of Calfiornia at Berkeley.

During the August 3 airing of the comedy program called Education a Higher Calling, which airs on the Trinity Comedy Broadcasting Network, Screwy Dave noted that Americans had gotten away from believing that a “fear of the Lord” was the beginning of all knowledge.” (David Edwards, The Raw Story)

Screwy Dave went on to say:

  • “If you wanted to be a good scientist, mathematician or a good artist, whatever knowledge you needed, you had to start with fear of the Lord.”

And if you’re looking to enrich yourself as a money-grubbing charlatan like Dave, then just hook up with a certified lunatic like Glenn Beck.

It should be noted that Opportunistic Screwballs such as Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich and Rep. Michelle Bachman have heaped praise on Screwy Dave. This is akin to having Moe, Larry and Curly praising your intellectual acumen.

Congrats Davey; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Screwballs”; you are far too humble.
