Attorney Michael Lanier of Jacksonville; ethical dwarf

The state of Florida provided Michael Winston Lanier in 2006 after he graduated from the Florida Coastal University Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Michael guilty of misconduct on at least two separate occasions as set forth below.

While providing loan modification and foreclosure rescue services, Michael became associated with several non-legal entities to provide staffing and secretarial services.

At one point, Michael’s law firm shared an address and phone number with two of the non-legal businesses. These entities, not bound by the Rules Regulating the Florida Bar, would procure clients throughout the country for Michael’s law firm. In several cases, Michael’s non-lawyer employees then performed unsatisfactory work for the clients.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary 45 –day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2013) Michael practices at 2711 Dean Road in Jacksonville, Florida.
