Attorney William O’Brien Morgantown, WV; ethical misfit

The state of West Virginia presented William A. O’Brien with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from the University of West Virginia Law School.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found William guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to comply with bankruptcy filing requirements
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Billy’s gross negligence led him settling a legal malpractice claim

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished William by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2013) William practices at 201 East John Street in Morgantown, West Virginia.
