Attorney Randall Shouse of Indianapolis; ethical leprechaun

The state of Indiana provided Randall Robert Shouse with a law license in 1980

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Randall guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Failed to act with due diligence
  2. Engaged in a conflict of interest
  3. Failed to withdraw his representation when withdrawal was mandatory
  4. Failed to protect his clients’ interest after being discharged
  5. Failed to refund unearned fee for almost two years after his discharge
  6. Failed to advise clients that he would no longer represent them

In one matter, Randall represented various clients in the sale of their houses on contract. He drafted the contacts with an annual interest rate of 2% instead of the 12% rate that his clients had stated. When the contract buyers filed suit against his clients Randall did not provide them with any representation, forcing them to hire other attorneys.

Randall also accepted payment of $100 from his clients to draft wills for them. He did finally refund payment of the $100 for drafting of the wills that he never completed.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Randall by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 20123) Randall practices at 9510 East Washington Street in Indianapolis, Indiana.
