Attorney Richard McCague of Pittsburgh; serial offender

The state of Pennsylvania presented Richard J. McCague with a law license in 1990

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) has found Richard guilty of the following misconduct

Shortly after receiving his law license, Richard was employed with the Alleghany County Public Defender’s Office where he stayed until December 2006. At the same time, Richard operated a solo law practice.

In 2006, Richard criminally convicted of attempting to smuggle marijuana into the Alleghany County Jail. As a consequence of his conviction, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Richard by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

In another disciplinary case, Richard was found guilty of
  1. Failing to return client filed to client’s new attorney
  2. Failed to comply with a court order
  3. Failed to timely file required document with a trial court
  4. Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  5. Failed to refund unearned portion of fee (crook)
As one would suspect, this wasn’t Richard’s 1st Bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary informal admonishment for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As we speak (ca. August 2013) Richard practices at 5500 Beverly Place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Warning: Richard does not carry legal malpractice insurance
