The state of Arkansas presented Monica Lee Mason with a law license in 1998 after she graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.
The Committee on Professional Conduct found Monica guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Monica represented a couple that was seeking to adopt a child. At about the same time, Monica also represented the birth mother involved in the proposed adoption.
Making matters worse, Monica misled the trial judge by denying that she was involved in an ongoing conflict of interest by representing both the birth mother and the prospective adoptive parents.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Conduct Committee punished Monica by gifting her with another complimentary caution
As we speak (ca. August 2013), Monica continues to practice in the Sherwood, Arkansas area.
